Temporary battery with sunshield

This is to power a temporary instrument in the field, and protect it from the sun (and rain).

Things required:

  • 13mm screwdriver (preferred), or 13mm spanner
  • Battery
  • Plywood board (as sunshield)

Transport

On each terminal: 2 metal M8 washers + 2 large nylon M8 washers + M8 nylon bolt

Setup

Bolt together (from bottom to top):

  • battery terminal
  • metal washer
  • lead ring terminal
  • metal washer
  • nylon washer
  • plywood board
  • nylon washer
  • (bolt)
